Spring Retreat: All Are Welcome No Space Available
24th March 2017 - 26th March 2017
Spring Retreat will focus on the theme of welcome
Led by Kate Monkhouse and Barbara Wilson
Our Othona Spring Retreat this year will focus on the theme of welcome: the welcome we have in God, the welcome we can offer one another and the welcome that is needed in our communities today.
The retreat weekend will include reflections on hospitality as a core practice for our everyday lives, space for silent prayer, nature walk around Othona and storytelling. Come if you want to explore fresh perspectives on creating a culture of inclusion at a time when our world is struggling with fear and difference. And simply come if you would like to rest in the welcome we have in God.
Kate Monkhouse is a facilitator who is passionate about participation, spirituality and social justice. She has worked for many years with groups seeking reconciliation, including refugees, and has always enjoyed the warm welcome at Othona!
Barbara Wilson is a spiritual director who enjoys finding God in all things. She aims to develop people's relationship with God and respond to God's overwhelming love for them. She is engaged with social justice projects in her local area and loves long walks in nature.
